The Coastal West Sussex Partnership (CWS) attended a special reception at Westminster on 7th July 2014 as part of Coastal Communities Week. The event, hosted by the Coastal Communities Alliance, was a celebration of all things coastal. Caroline Wood, Director of CWS, attended the event alongside Councillor Bryan Turner, Cabinet member for Worthing, and Juliette Green, Coast to Capital Board Member.
It provided an ideal opportunity for representatives from our area to promote CWS and discuss projects that have proved a real success. Guests were also able to share ideas for the future and learn about other examples of best practice from around the UK coastline.
Mark Simmonds MP, Gordon Marsden MP, and Chris Ruane MP sponsored the reception. The aim of the Coastal Communities Alliance is to work more closely with these MPs on coastal policy and activity in the future.
