We’re excited to announce that Adur and Worthing Councils have launched a consultancy opportunity for a Collaborative Visitor Economy Project being delivered by West Sussex County Council and the coastal Local Authorities from across West Sussex (Arun and Chichester District Councils and Worthing Borough Council).

The project requires professional consultancy support to coordinate a work programme that will deliver a Visitor Economy Product Development Programme; to improve the visitor experience, attract new audiences, and increase the economic value of the sector in West Sussex.

This collaborative visitor economy project three distinct, yet interrelated, strands of work:

1. Inspiring people to visit the area through a strong and targeted marketing campaign (linked to Experience West Sussex)
2. Improving the tourism ‘product’ and experience to improve the offer and attractiveness of the area for visitors and address the key challenges
3. Enabling better engagement with the private sector and sharing the ‘learning’ to raise the standard of the visitor experience and help inform and shape future activities

This requirement is in relation to the second strand of the work programme – Product Development which currently has a coastal focus

“This exciting consultancy opportunity is seeking professional support to work with us to not only improve the visitor experience and attract new visitors to the region, but in turn also help to increase the economic value of the tourism sector in West Sussex,” Caroline Wood, Director of the Coastal West Sussex Partnership explains.

“We welcome experienced professionals to register their interest find out more!”

The closing date for submissions is 30th August.
