Later this month the A27 Action Campaign will be launched by local businesses, Council Leaders and local Members of Parliament in a bid to encourage Government to invest in improving the capacity and reliability of the A27.

To galvanise support for the campaign they are encouraging you to have your say about the impact the road has on your business, your experience of congestion, delayed deliveries and other issues. You are invited to submit comments or share your thoughts at the campaign launch on Thursday 26th June 2014.

Deemed as one of the most unreliable trunk roads in England, there is strong feeling across Coastal West Sussex that the A27 is hampering the areas economic potential. Worthing and Adur Chamber of Commerce would like to receive comments on the impact the A27 is having on your business and any further evidence to support the need for improvements on this major road.

Please consider the following questions and email comments to info@worthingandadurchamber.co.uk

  • How does the A27 affect your business?
  • Does this restrict the area you can trade in?
  • Does it inhibit employment?

As the Government is currently considering investment that will improve major transport routes across England, this campaign will strengthen the case and bring with it strong support from the business community which will help persuade ministers to take action.

A27 Action is being overseen by a Steering Group of local business leaders and elected community representatives.

The launch event will be held in Worthing and if you wish to attend please email policy.team@westsussex.gov.uk
