Adur and Worthing Partnership Working
Adur
and Worthing Councils are leading the way in partnership working to develop
shared services.
As part of this innovative project the Council’s have already introduced a joint senior management team and are undertaking detailed reviews of their services, including how they are organised and delivered.
The reviews will change and improve the way the councils and their staff operate.
This may lead to changes in staff location, and working across both Adur and Worthing Council areas.

Adur District Council is a south coast local authority situated on the West Sussex coast between Brighton & Hove and Worthing. It has a population of about 60,000. It stretches inland from the coast to the South Downs. The District, although largely residential, has substantial industrial areas, a seaport and airport, where there are significant regeneration opportunities. Inland from the built-up area, most of the District is part of the Sussex Downs AONB (intended to become a national park). West Sussex is renowned for its coastal retreats and countryside.
