West Sussex caravan sales business and holiday park operator, Bunn Leisure has seen a £1.7m increase in revenue.

Bunn Leisure, which owns static caravan and holiday parks: West Sands, White Horse, Green Lawns, The Oasis and touring park Warner Farm, posted revenues of £28m for the 12-month period to 31 January 2017. According to newly filed accounts at Companies House, this was up from £26.3m a year earlier.

The business also enjoyed growth in earnings, with EBITDA rising from £6.1m to £7.2m, while pre-tax profits grew from £5.8m to roughly £6.8m.

This comes as work started on a multi-million pound upgrade at the Selsey five-star holiday village, earlier this year.

The first phase, approved by Chichester District Council and starting in February 2017, sees the creation of a new head office and main visitor reception, with a new entertainment complex and improvements at the White Horse and Green Lawns sites following 12 months later.

John Bunn, managing director of the 300-acre park, said: “Bunn Leisure offers outstanding family holidays at our four wonderful parks and this refurbishment programme will enable us to provide an even better service.

“We are investing heavily in our facilities and it shows our ongoing commitment to be an innovative leader in the family holiday sector.

“Our park employs 350 full-time and 350 seasonal staff, and we welcome 100,000 holidaymakers every year. Bunn Leisure already generates more than £60m for the local economy, and we hope these developments will create future employment opportunities and increase our popularity as a tourist destination.

“We are using local contractors wherever we can, and are delighted to be able to make such a big investment in our local businesses and support vital local economic growth.”
