Do you remember a particularly exciting science activity at school or being involved in an after school club where you got to use great equipment, that really inspired you?

We’re looking to find people from engineering and technology with business and education backgrounds who are interested in inspiring local school students and helping them pursue a career in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).

If you currently work in this field, or are recently retired the Coastal West Sussex Partnership, University of Chichester and STEM Sussex would love to meet you at this informal networking event.

Everyone with a love of STEM is welcome, whether you’re one person running a gaming start up or the CEO of a large manufacturing business.

Initially it will be good to meet up and chat, but going forward perhaps you, or your staff, will want to become STEM Ambassadors and help local schools by:

  • Getting involved in school STEM clubs.
  • Supporting student project work.
  • Challenging perceptions that STEM is boring.
  • Giving study and career advice.

This is an opportunity to see the new cutting edge facilities at the University of Chichester’s new Technology Park and meet people currently bringing the magic of science and engineering to life. So go on, come and meet us and see where it takes you!

Refreshments on arrival.
