Plans by Adur & Worthing Councils have been given the green light to develop new offices on the car park of the former Adur Civic Centre, in Shoreham-by-Sea.

The site on Ham Road has been put forward for development, following consultations from local residents and businesses.

The four-storey commercial building will provide over 27,000 sq. ft. of office space, along with space for 70 cars. It is thought that the new lettable office space will have room for approximately 250 workers.

The development project is expected to start early 2018 and take 56 weeks to complete.

After leaving the Adur Civic Centre four years ago, the councils have been committed to re-developing the site.

“We are committed to providing a high-quality development which will provide much-needed office space for the Adur district and regenerate this area of Shoreham,” James Appleton, Adur & Worthing Councils’ Head of Planning and Development, said, during the consultation period, earlier this year.

Sussex’s Mott MacDonald and HNW Architects (based in Chichester), are just some of the companies involved with the scheme.
