A massive well done to the college for reaching their recruitment of 100 apprentices in 100 days – 30 days early!

The campaign received positive response from big national firms to small indepenent businesses alike. The scheme is strongly supported by the National Apprenticeship Service, Local MPs Sir Peter Bottomley, Tim Loughton and the area’s Chamber of Commerce.

Brenda Cook, Apprenticeship Manager reported “I think it has just been incredible and I would like to thank all those employers who have taken on apprentices, the response has just been mind blowing. It has been so good for us.”

“One of the main things is that we have one of the highest success rates in the country for our apprentice placements, so it is a real success story.”

Northbrook College principal Sue Dare welcomed gaining the 100 target. She said: “It is fantastic we have reached the 100 Apprenticeships target in 67 days. It’s a real tribute to all the local employers, the Herald and our Apprenticeship Team. We will be carrying on to see how many more we can recruit by our May 5 target date.”
