Global engineering, environmental and strategic consultancy company, Ricardo, has recently secured £50m in funding from HSBC.

This funding will help the company (whose headquarters are in Shoreham-by-Sea and have been since 1919) expand – by making strategic acquisitions and expanding globally.

Ricardo, which specialises in the automotive, rail, energy and environment and defence industries, will also use the funding for further investment into research, to keep up-to-date with new technologies and changing regulations.

 

Over the next five years, Ricardo are aiming to become a FTSE 250 company. It’s hoped that this £50m funding will help them to achieve this.

Ricardo are one of the regions biggest success stories. Founded over a century ago, the company now employing more than 2,900 consultants, engineers, scientists and support staff worldwide.
