Skills and Enterprise Group

Shaping the future through our young people

Working together we will power the skills and opportunities in our communities by raising the aspiration to learn new things.

What do we intend to do?

This group exists to inspire more young people and adults into local, meaningful work, apprenticeships and long-term employment across Coastal West Sussex. We believe that by strengthening collaboration across all education providers, business groups and the networks of specialists in careers education, our economy will grow and our communities will prosper.

Coastal West Sussex is an area of great opportunity and potential.

However, realising that potential is often hampered by infrastructural challenges and historic perceptions. We need to raise aspiration for life-long learning and create conditions for business to succeed.
The Skills & Enterprise Group will use better data, find a shared language, loudly celebrate the opportunities in the region and collectively influence policy and investment decisions to enhance learning provision and facilities. Working together we will promote aspiration, drive productivity and widen access to opportunity and talent.
