Project Director – Visitor Economy

Temporary – Fixed term contract for 18 months.

Grade 9

Salary £45,247 per annum – pro rata (updated following job evaluation)

Hours – 30 – 37 hours a week – subject to negotiation, flexible working and secondments would be considered

Place of Work – Portland House, Worthing but with flexibility across the Coastal West Sussex area.

We are looking for a Project Director to build upon and drive forward the Coastal West Sussex Visitor Economy Project which aims to grow the value of tourism across West Sussex.  The project is currently being by led through a partnership of Local Authorities and the Coastal West Sussex Partnership and all partners have a strong commitment and a keen interest in seeing the project successfully delivered.

Based on the work and learning to date, the successful candidate will take the lead in driving this project forward so that it delivers its ambitious work programme across West Sussex; achieving consensus and building a reputation for innovation, excellence and achievement during this 18 month delivery period.

Previous experience and demonstrating successful outcomes when working in a changing and complex environment is desirable.

Flexibility is crucial and you must be able to demonstrate an ability to work across multiple teams in different organisations.
