Don’t miss out on the opportunity to apply for a Business Growth Grant for your company in 2014. Businesses are being encouraged to consider the grants programme as soon as possible as it is proving to be very popular. The initiative is running across the Coast to Capital Region, including Coastal West Sussex, thanks to the Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership and Greater Brighton City Region scheme. The aim is to support businesses that plan to expand and create new jobs.
Eligible businesses could receive between £5,000 and £250,000. Coast to Capital is particularly interested in high growth, high innovation and low carbon and environmental businesses; however those planning modest growth are also being encouraged to apply. Applications may be submitted at any time but all successful applicants must be able to contract by 28th February 2015 at the very latest. It is important to note that once all the funding has been awarded to beneficiaries the programme will close.
The partnership will also consider awarding larger grants when greater impact on employment growth can be shown. Grants can be used to help cover the cost of projects including research and development, breaking into new markets, equipment, business premises and skills development.
